| Why a House Concert?: |
House concerts are a great opportunity to hear acoustic music in an intimate, informal home setting. We believe in the artists we invite and the transformational power of their music. By offering a venue in Blacksburg for artists touring nationally we see a variety of live music that we would otherwise miss.

| House Concert Etiquette: |
Concert guests are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes before the start of the performance. Performances generally run 2 – 2 ½ hours, some will have a local opening act. Please try to be on time. Find a chair that you like, sit back and enjoy the entertainment. There will be a break in the middle. This is a great time to mingle with the artist, others attending and to buy CD’s. We will have some refreshments, coffee, tea and water available during the evening. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments and other beverages of your choice.
Smoking is not allowed indoors. Please be attentive and respectful during the performance. Children are welcome. There is a separate playroom they can use if they prefer. Plan to bring a quiet alternate activity if you suspect they will not sit for the amount of time you hope to stay.

|
| Donation Money: |
House concerts are not-for-profit ventures that usually cost us a bit. We do not “sell tickets”. We ask for a donation to give to the artist(s), usually $10-15. 100% of the money we collect goes to the artist(s). Keep in mind that the artist will have CD’s for sale and you may want to bring extra money.
