Feedback: $7 / person suggested donation. “Her shoes suit her music!” That may sound odd, but Canadian singer/songwriter Lenore will tell you that she hears it all the time. Certainly, her red high-top runners evoke the sense of irreverent fun this fiery singer brings to her up-tempo high-energy performances. Her song topics and moods range from political to poignant with her trademark sense of humor apparent throughout.
Lenore has been compared to Marianne Faithfull, Melanie and Nico among others, and her lyrics reflect the influence of her songwriting heroes Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. The music itself is a unique blend of folk, rock, country and blues.
Lenore released her self-titled debut CD in 1997 and her follow-up, Summer Dancing, in 2002, both of which received airplay on indie radio shows internationally. Lenore has just completed her 3rd CD "Another Life", an all-acoustic album that is a better reflection of her live shows. Produced by roots veteran Paul Mills (Stan Rogers, Ron Hynes), the CD came out on January 1st, 2007.
